In the town of Baluchar, Bangladesh, you can find marks of Singapore’s influence. A crockery shop - inspired by NTUC FairPrice - set up by a former construction worker; a sawmill, which helped improve life for townsfolk. But less visible are those who failed to realise the Singapore dream - one man left with a mountain of debt, another made to return against his will.
